Judith Steinfeld 5.1 3 The DIG-UM Awards recognize outstanding contributions that significantly advance digitization in the ErUM (Exploration of Universe and Matter) sciences. Eligible contributions include:

6 * the promotion of collaboration and networking across and beyond ErUM disciplines,
7 * the dissemination of knowledge and expertise, and
8 * improvements in sustainability through digital approaches.

20 * up to **two outstanding PhD theses**, successfully defended within 18 months before the call for nominations,

24 * up to **two outstanding contributions by early-career researchers** with non-permanent positions

51 The awardeed will be selected by a committee composed of the DIG-UM Topic-Group Chairs and the DIG-UM Spokesperson. The final decision requires ratification by the Digitization Board.
