Who are we?

We are a group of volunteers from the ErUM-Data community who carry out tasks that communicate and promote sustainability within ErUM-Data.

We don't have dedicated funding, but we have plenty of motivation. You're warmly invited to join us.

What we do:

  • We meet once a month for a big update with everyone. Our work depends heavily on the initiative of the Action Group members between meetings.
  • Discussions on individual tasks are carried out independently by those responsible. Quick discussions with the entire group via Mattermost.

  • Andreas submits abstract for Sustainable HEP on next Tuesday, minor comments or requests for being taken off the author list can be submitted until then (author list will be copied from CHEP contribution)
  • Everybody please move to the new services and slowly migrate there
  • Everybody consider joining the ErUM Community Summit in Hamburg in June
  • Cyrus asks Angela to doodle the next meeting (8th, 11th , 12th, 13th, or 22nd of May)

  • Max reports that the podcast team got the first post-processing version of the latest podcast episode, needs some more time for the final product
  • Angela & Cyrus presented at the SUSFECIT Kickoff Meeting, overall good feedback and support for the project, various valuable comments and insights about the refinement of the presentation
  • Vijay reports that there will be a Sustainable Computing Workshop at Desy for HEP as well as Photonics people, likely going to take place in the beginning of October
