The Helmholtz Metadata Hub “Aerospace, Space and Transport (AST)" is seen as a supplement and interface to the existing initiatives at European and German level in order to realise the potential of digitisation in science. Generic processes, technical solutions, domain-specific standards and educational / advisory services must be developed for this.
The DLR has developed its own project concept for the introduction, implementation and establishment of research data management (RDM) in the centre. The Helmholtz Metadata Hub "AST" will make an important contribution to linking this work with the Helmholtz-wide activities. And enable a common cross-departmental learning and development process.
